Willie Watson, Paul Brandenberger Killed in Car Accident in Allen County, IN

Allen County, IN — November 3, 2023, Willie Watson and Paul Brandenberger were killed in a car accident around 5 p.m. along Springfield Center Road.

According to authorities, the incident happened at the intersection of Springfield Center Road and Spencerville Road.

79-year-old Willie Watson was driving a 15-passenger van; 63-year-old Paul Brandenberger was driving a pickup truck. Reports indicate that, for unknown reasons, the pickup truck collided with the van as the van was entering the intersection. The van reportedly rolled as a result of the crash. Both Watson and Brandenberger were transported to local medical facilities for treatment. Watson succumbed to his injuries on Sunday, November 5, 2023; Brandenberger succumbed to his injuries on Monday, November 6, 2023.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time of the accident have not been reported on. There are no additional details available at this point in time.
