Deongelo Juan Sillemon, 1 Injured in Truck Accident in Melissa, TX

Melissa, TX — October 26, 2023, Deongelo Juan Sillemon and one other person were injured in a truck accident just after 3 a.m. along the Central Expressway.

According to reports, Deongelo Juan Sillemon was traveling in a northbound Jeep Cherokee in the center lane of U.S. 75 just north of S.H. 121 when the incident occurred.

A tow truck in the act of towing a disabled vehicle was occupying the right two lanes of the road and facing southeast. A police vehicle was in the right-hand lane with overhead lights and left turn signals activated. For unknown reasons, the Jeep failed to vacate the center lane and collided with the front end of the tow vehicle as a result.

The driver of the tow vehicle and Sillemon both suffered severe injuries as a result of the collision and were transported to separate medical facilities for immediate treatment. The cause of the accident has not been confirmed. The incident is still under investigation. There are no additional details available at this time.
