Pedestrian Killed in Car Accident on Westheimer Road in Houston, TX

Houston, TX — November 6, 2023, a man was killed as the result of a vehicle versus pedestrian accident that happened at 10:45 p.m. along Westheimer Road.

Details from Houston Police officials say the incident took place near a convenience store just off the corner of Westheimer Road and Fountain View Drive.

According to initial statements, a 64-year-old man was apparently drinking outside of a convenience store before then crossing onto Westheimer Road. While crossing the road, an eastbound Honda Accord struck the man, resulting in fatal injuries.

Authorities say the driver stayed to speak with officers, and there have been no reported charges or citations. Details regarding the victim's alleged drinking, if he bought alcohol from the convenience store, and if authorities are investigating any possible role the store played in the incident have yet to be reported.
