Derrick Carter Injured in Alleged Hit-and-run Accident in Harris County, TX

Harris County, TX — October 20, 2023, Derrick Carter was injured as the result of an alleged hit-and-run accident along West Grand Parkway (TX-99).

Harris County officials released preliminary details about the crash, which they say took place off the corner of the Grand Parkway and F.M. 529 intersection.

Authorities said that Derrick Carter was stopped at a red light when a Mitsubishi allegedly crashed into Carter's vehicle. That vehicle then allegedly left the scene, leaving Carter with injuries. Statements suggest authorities identified the person they believe is responsible for the crash, and they allege that person failed to stop and render aid. There appear to be pending charges as a result. The incident still remains under investigation.
