According to current statements, Arturo Cubos and Maria Hernandez De Cubos (both 70) as well as an 11-year-old girl were in a Ford pickup going northbound on the service road. They were stopped at a red light just ahead of a Chevy Equinox, also stopped at the light.

While waiting, a Jeep apparently failed to control speed and crashed into both vehicles. Details suggest it's possible the Chevy initially hit the Ford prior to the Jeep crashing because the Chevy driver saw the approaching Jeep and hit the Ford while trying to move out of the way. This isn't confirmed at this time.

Due to the collisions, the 11-year-old girl and Maria Cubos had injuries described as incapacitating. Arturo Cubos apparently had neck and back pain, the severity of which is unclear right now. No other injuries were confirmed. Police said inattention and alcohol may have been contributing factors in the crash.
