1 Killed, 1 Injured in Truck Accident on I-65 in Clarksville, IN

Clarksville, IN — November 7, 2023, one person was killed and another was injured in a truck accident sometime in the morning along I-65.

According to reports, there was a traffic jam on southbound I-65 due to an earlier accident involving a police chase that ended on I-65 between Eastern Boulevard and Veterans Parkway.

An 18-wheeler was at a stop due to the traffic when, for unknown reasons, another 18-wheeler collided with the back of the vehicle. The driver of the 18-wheeler that had rear-ended the other was killed as a result of the accident. The other person who had been occupying the sleeper cab of that same vehicle was injured and had to be transported to a local hospital by emergency medical services for treatment.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation by authorities. Identities of those involved have not yet been released to the public. Weather and road conditions in the area at the time of the incident were not reported on. There are no additional details available at this point in time.
