3 Injured in Multi-vehicle Truck Accident on I-10 in Cibolo, TX

Cibolo, TX — October 17, 2023, three people were injured in a multi-vehicle truck accident at around 5:45 p.m. along I-10.

According to reports, there was a traffic jam on westbound Interstate 10 just east of Haceckerville Road, which is where the incident occurred.

For unknown reasons, an 18-wheeler rear-ended a Chevy Silverado, which caused a chain reaction of collisions involving a Toyota Rav4, a Ford Fusion, a Nissan Versa, and a Toyota Tacoma. The 33-year-old woman in the Nissan Versa was taken to a medical facility due to possible injuries. Both the 44-year-old and 38-year-old men who had been in the Chevy Silverado were injured as well and were transported by EMS to local medical facilities for treatment. The 38-year-old's injuries were reportedly severe. None of the identities of those involved have yet been made public.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation by authorities. Weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reportedly clear and dry. There are no additional details available at this point in time.
