Tabitha Roberson Injured in Hit-and-Run Truck Accident in Sweetwater, TX

Sweetwater, TX — October 11, 2023, Tabitha Roberson was injured in a hit-and-run truck accident at about 8:00 a.m. along Interstate 20.

According to reports, Tabitha Roberson—age 46—was traveling in an eastbound Kia Sorento in the left-hand lane of Interstate 20 just past the Robert Lee Street overpass when the accident occurred.

For unknown reasons, an 18-wheeler which had been traveling eastbound in the right-hand lane made an unsafe lane change, resulting in a collision between the passenger's side of the Kia Sorento and the driver's side of the semi. The collision caused the Sorento to go into a spin and roll, colliding with a light pole before coming to a stop in the median resting on the passenger's side and facing north.

The 18-wheeler involved in the accident neglected to stop and render any sort of medical aid, leaving the scene. Tabitha Roberson sustained severe injuries as a result of the crash; she was transported to a medical facility by emergency medical services for treatment. The accident is still under investigation by authorities. No additional details are currently available.
