Richard Winter Killed in Truck Accident in Woodville, TX

Woodville, TX — October 4, 2023, Richard Winter was killed in a truck accident just after 12:30 in the afternoon along Magnolia Street.

According to reports, Richard Winter was traveling southbound in a Nissan Frontier in the left-hand lane on North Magnolia Street near Highway 287 when the accident occurred.

For unknown reasons, the Nissan veered left out of the lane and into the center turn lane, colliding with an 18-wheeler which had been slowing in that lane in order to make a left-hand turn onto Pine Street. 54-year-old Winter was ejected from the Nissan as a result of the collision. Authorities report that he was dead upon arrival of first responders.

The cause of the accident is still unknown. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reportedly cloudy and dry. There are no additional details available at this time.
