Latonja Hastings Killed in Motorcycle Accident in Lancaster, TX

Lancaster, TX — September 25, 2023, Latonja Hastings was killed following a motorcycle accident at around 9:47 p.m. along Houston School Road.

There appear to be conflicting details in public statements from the authorities, as they say the crash occurred off the corner of the North Houston School Road and West Wintergreen Road intersection, but they also claim that the incident happened on Pleasant Run Road, which is south of Wintergreen.

Latonja Hastings Killed in Motorcycle Accident in Lancaster, TX

Investigators say 48-year-old Latonja Hastings was the operator of a Harley-Davidson going westbound approaching the Houston School Road intersection. The motorcycle somehow continued straight through the crossing before going off-road and crashing into a parking lot.

Hastings was thrown from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries. Right now, there is no confirmed cause for the crash. Frankly, the lack of clarity simply on where this crash happened is enough to make me worry the accident isn't getting the attention it deserves. Are there any other mistakes in the initial investigations that need to be cleared up?
