Summer Taylor Kaelani, 2 Injured in Truck Accident on S.H. 6 in Brazoria County, TX

Brazoria County, TX — October 16, 2023, Summer Taylor Kaelani and two other people were injured in a truck accident just before 11:30 a.m. along S.H. 6.

According to reports, a street sweeper was traveling westbound in the right-hand shoulder of S.H. 6 a little more than half a mile east of the C.R. 925 intersection when the incident occurred.

The street sweeper reportedly attempted a U-turn across all the lanes of traffic in order to get to the eastbound shoulder when it was struck by a westbound Ford F-150 in the center lane. 18-year-old Summer Kaelani, who had been an occupant of the pickup truck, was reportedly seriously injured as a result of the collision. A 17-year-old female passenger of the pickup also possibly sustained injuries. The driver of the street sweeper reportedly sustained injuries, as well. All three were transported by emergency medical services to local medical facilities for treatment.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation by authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reportedly clear and dry. No additional details are available at this time.
