Anthony Castillo, James Castillo Injured in Bus Accident in Midlothian, TX

Midlothian, TX — October 16, 2023, Anthony and James Castillo were injured in a bus accident at about 6:15 a.m. along U.S. 287.

Reports indicate that 34-year-old Anthony Castillo and 51-year-old James Castillo were traveling northbound in a Buick in the left-hand lane on U.S. 287 approaching the Rex Odum Road intersection when the incident occurred.

Allegedly, a bus, which had been on the right-hand side of U.S. 287 at the intersection, started to make a wide u-turn, resulting in the Buick colliding with the front left portion of the bus. James Castillo reportedly sustained severe injuries as a result of the crash, while Anthony Castillo and the driver of the bus also incurred injures. All three were transported to local medical facilities for treatment.

The accident is still under investigation by authorities. Weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reportedly clear and dry. There are no additional details available at this time.
