Several Injured in Truck Accident on Route 46 in Bucksport, ME

November 1, 2023, several people were injured in a truck accident just before 10:30 in the morning along Route 46.

According to reports, the accident occurred on Route 46, along side Long Pond, near where Lower Long Pond Road turns into Lower Dedham Road.

The cause of the accident is unknown. Authorities state that a semi-truck and trailer had a head-on collision with a passenger vehicle. The number of people injured in the crash has no been made public, but it is known that those who were injured were transported by emergency medical services to a local hospital for treatment.

The weather and road conditions in the area at the time of the accident have not been reported on. The accident remains under an active investigation by authorities. There are no additional details at this point in time.
