Killeen, TX — October 13, 2023, Sharod Brown, Jennifer Rivera, a child, and one other were injured in an alleged intoxicated driving accident on F.M. 3479.

Investigators said that 33-year-old Sharod Frances Brown and a 6-year-old girl were in a Subaru Impreza going westbound on the loop. In eastbound lanes, a Dodge Charger, in which 30-year-old Jennifer Rivera appears to have been a passenger, went into the center turn lane where the driver of the Charger somehow collided with a Chevy Tahoe going westbound. This caused the Charger to spin around, hit an eastbound SUV, then go into westbound lanes where it crashed head-on with Brown's vehicle.

As a result of the chain-reaction crash, Brown, the 6-year-old girl, Rivera, and the driver of the Dodge were all said to have incapacitating injuries. While the driver of the Tahoe reportedly had non-incapacitating injuries, the injuries were also called serious.

Further statements from the Killeen Police Department indicate they believe the driver of the Dodge Charger may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. This has yet to be confirmed, though it appears authorities recommended a charge for intoxication assault pending blood test results.
