El Paso, TX — October 21, 2023, Craig Austin Dominguez sustained injuries due to a car accident at around midnight on Global Reach Drive.

Details from authorities said that 24-year-old Craig Austin Dominguez was in a Nissan Sentra going northbound from Yarbrough to Global Reach. He reportedly had a green light while crossing when a westbound Honda Civic allegedly went through a red light and t-boned Dominguez. This caused Dominguez's vehicle to overturn off the corner.

Dominguez was apparently taken from the scene with incapacitating injuries. The driver of the Honda, a 19-yeaer-old, reportedly had non-incapacitating injuries.

Authorities say they believe the 19-year-old driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. They have yet to confirm this, and they didn't mention where that alcohol may have come from. There are plenty of ways someone can get alcohol when they're not supposed to. But a serious concern in these situations is there could be a local business knowingly serving alcohol to minors, and that's bound to cause more harm if the establishment isn't brought to light and held to account. Are authorities taking those steps?
