Yunerki Acevedo Echemendia Injured in Truck Accident in Ector County, TX

Odessa, TX — October 8, 2023, Yunerki Acevedo Echemendia was injured in a truck accident at 4:45 p.m. along Farm to Market 1882.

According to reports, the incident occurred on F.M. 1882 at an intersection with a private road just south of Interstate 20.

Allegedly, a semi-truck and trailer were attempting to make a right turn into a parking lot from the left-hand lane because of the length of the trailer being hauled. 46-year-old Yunerki Acevedo Echemendia was in a Ford Ecoline in the right-hand lane, which was struck by the turning semi truck and trailer.

Echemendia sustained reportedly serious injuries as a result of the crash. He was transported to a local medical facility for treatment. His current condition has not been released to the public. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time of the accident were clear and dry. The incident is still under investigation. There are no additional details available at this time.
