George Carpenter Killed in Pedestrian-Auto Accident in San Antonio, TX

San Antonio, TX — November 2, 2023, George Carpenter was killed in a pedestrian-auto crash on Highway 36 at Rice Street in San Antonio, TX.

Authorities indicate that on November 2, a fatal accident occurred when a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in San Antonio. According to reports, the crash happened at approximately 8:09 at night. Investigators say the man was walking through the intersection of Highway 36 and Rice Street when a Ford Mustang struck him. Police say the Mustang then allegedly left the scene of the accident.

Officials confirmed the pedestrian, George Carpenter, 66, suffered severe injuries and was taken to an area hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later. Police say the Mustang driver was located and arrested. The 19-year-old man is reportedly facing criminal charges.

The investigation is ongoing.
