Taraja Ramsess, 3 Children Killed, 1 Child Injured in Truck Accident in DeKalb County, GA

UPDATE (November 6, 2023): The 10-year-old boy who was injured in this accident has been declared dead, as well, having succumbed to his injuries.

DeKalb County, GA — October 31, 2023, Taraja Ramsess and two children were killed, and two other children were injured in a truck accident around midnight on I-285.

According to reports, the accident took place on the exit ramp of I-285 entering I-20 East.

For unknown reasons, the pickup truck carrying the victims rear-ended a semi truck. 41-year-old Taraja Ramsess, a 13-year-old , and a 1-year-old were all pronounced dead at the scene. A 10-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl also sustained serious injuries during the crash and were transported to a local hospital by emergency medical services for immediate care.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation by authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time have not been reported on. There are no additional details available at this point in time.
