Edward Guidry Killed, 1 Injured in Truck Accident in Lane County, OR

Lane County, OR — October 31, 2023, Edward Guidry was killed in a truck accident at around 3:00 in the afternoon along Interstate 5.

According to reports, 70-year-old Edward Guidry, of Cottage Grove, was traveling in a northbound Ford cargo van on I-5 north of Goshen when the incident occurred.

Authorities report that, for unknown reasons, the Ford rear-ended an 18-wheeler which had slowed because of traffic conditions on the road ahead. Guidry was killed as a result of injuries incurred during the accident. The driver of the 18-wheeler was also reportedly injured in the accident and taken to a local medical facility for treatment. The cause of the accident is still under investigation; there are no additional details available at this time.
