Jared Nowell Killed, Jorge Rodriguez Injured in Truck Accident in Midland County, TX

Midland County, TX — November 1, 2023, Jared Nowell was killed and Jorge Rodriguez was injured in a truck accident at about 6:30 a.m. along F.M. 1379.

According to reports, 40-year-old Jared Nowell was traveling in a westbound Chevy Silverado on the East C.R. 160 approaching the F.M. 1379 intersection when the incident occurred.

At the same time, Jorge Rodriguez—age 52—was traveling northbound in an 18-wheeler on F.M. 1379. The stop sign at the intersection on C.R. 160 was reportedly sideways; the pickup continued into the the intersection without stopping, resulting in a collision with the 18-wheeler.

Nowell was killed as a result of injuries incurred during the accident, while Rodriguez was reportedly injured and taken to a local hospital from treatment; it is reported that his condition is stable. The accident is still under investigation; no additional details are available at this time.
