One Injured in Train-Truck Accident in Benton County, AR

Benton County, AR — October 31, 2023, a person was injured in a train-truck collision in Benton County, northeast of Rogers in Avoca, AR.

Authorities indicate that on October 31, an accident occurred when a freight train and a semi-truck collided in Benton County for unknown reasons. According to reports, the crash happened less than five miles northeast of Rogers.

Investigators say the semi-truck was attempting to drive over the railroad tracks when it was hit by an oncoming train coming around a curve. The cause of the crash has not been determined, and few details have been released at this time.

Officials confirmed the semi-truck driver suffered injuries and was taken to an area hospital for medical attention. The driver's condition is unknown. No other injuries were reported.
