Johnny Rey Hernandez Killed in Car Accident in Scurry County, TX

Scurry County, TX — August 20, 2023, Johnny Rey Hernandez was killed as the result of a car accident at around 5:00 a.m. along U.S. Highway 84.

Authorities said in their statements that the accident happened near mile marker 404 on northbound U.S. 84, just outside of Snyder.

According to officials, 24-year-old Johnny Hernandez was in a Dodge Charger going along the highway. Somehow, the vehicle ended up going off the side of the road. It then crashed with a signpost, went through a ditch, and crashed.

As a result of the accident, Hernandez sustained fatal injuries. Reports have not mentioned any other occupants or vehicles being involved in the crash. The exact cause of the crash remains unconfirmed at this time pending investigations.
