Officials said in their statements that four teenagers and a 22-year-old were in a Chevy Malibu going eastbound along Ferguson (Highway 495). The vehicle may have been racing when it ran off the side of the road into a ditch. There, the vehicle overturned.

Due to the crash, a 15-year-old boy in the Malibu sustained fatal injuries. Others in the vehicle had both incapacitating and non-incapacitating injuries.

Right now, authorities believe the alleged racing and alcohol contributed to the crash. Details about the other driver weren't confirmed, and charges may be pending still.
