Meranda Griffin, Craig Jennings Killed in Car Accident in Navarro County, TX

Navarro County, TX — October 23, 2023, Meranda Griffin and Craig Jennings were killed in a car accident at about 1:00 in the morning on S.H. 31.

According to reports, 48-year-old Craig Jennings and 28-year-old Meranda Griffin—both from Athens, Texas—were traveling in an eastbound Chevy Tahoe on S.H. 31 east of Powell, Texas, when the accident occurred.

For unknown reasons, the Chevy veered out of its lane onto the right side of the road where it reportedly struck a tree and caught fire. Jennings and Griffin were both killed as a result of the accident.

The cause of the accident is still unknown. Weather and roadway conditions in the area at the time have not been reports on. The incident is still under active investigation; no additional details are available at this point in time.
