Ranjeet Benipal, Kevin Barrientos Killed in Truck Accident in Boone County, IN

Boone County, IN — October 30, 2023, Ranjeet Benipal and Kevin Barrientos were killed following a commercial truck accident at 8:10 p.m. along State Road 32.

Authorities with the Boone County Sheriff's Department said that the crash took place in the area of the State Road 32 and County Road 700 West intersection.

According to officials, 30-year-old Ranjeet Benipal and 31-year-old Kevin Barrientos were in separate trucks traveling on State Road 32. Due to a series of events which isn't clear right now, the two trucks collided. Ultimately, both Benipal and Barrientos succumbed to the injuries resulting from the crash.

There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the crash, and the factors surrounding the accident remain unspecified, as well. Investigations are ongoing.
