Jennifer Evans, 1 Injured in Car Accident near Austonio, TX

Houston County, TX — October 11, 2023, Jennifer Evans and one other person were injured in a two-car accident at around 6 p.m. along S.H. 21.

According to reports, 57-year-old Jennifer Evans was traveling northeast on S.H. 21 in a Honda CR-V just past the F.M. 1280 intersection when the incident occurred.

For unknown reasons, the Honda veered out of the northeast bound lane and into the southwest bound lane where it struck an oncoming Chevy Silverado being driven by a 30-year-old man. The collision caused the pickup to spin off of the road, striking a barbed wire fence before coming to a stop in the roadside ditch on the northwest side of the ditch.

Both Evans and the driver of the pickup truck sustained injuries as a result of the accident and were transported by emergency medical services to local medical facilities for treatment and care. The cause of the accident has not yet been confirmed; it is still under active investigation. No additional details are currently available.
