Luis Padilla Quezada Killed, Raul Ortiz Injured in Truck Accident in Napa, CA

UPDATE (November 7, 2023): 57-year-old Luis Padilla Quezada has been identified as the victim who died at the scene of the accident.

UPDATE (November 2, 2023): 31-year-old Raul Ortiz was identified as the passenger in the Toyota who was injured in the accident and transported to a local medical facility for treatment. His current condition has not been made public, but his injuries were reportedly considered moderate at the time of the accident.

Napa, CA — October 30, 2023, one person was killed and another was injured at about 9:30 in the morning along Silverado Trail.

According to reports, the accident took place took place on Silverado Trail north of Napa between Oak Knoll Avenue and Yountville Cross Road.

The accident involved a Toyota Camry and an 18-wheeler. One of the victims allegedly had to be extricated from their vehicle, which had sustained heavy damage. As a result of the incident, one person was deceased at the scene, while a second person survived the injuries incurred during the accident. The identities of those involved have not been made public.

According to pictures taken at the scene which were published by the Calfire LNU on their Twitter, the weather and road conditions appeared to be clear and dry. The incident is still under investigation; no additional details are available at this point in time.
