Shekha Wright, Ronnequa Sims Injured in Car Accident in Odessa, TX

Odessa, TX — September 17, 2023, Shekha Wright and Ronnequa Sims were injured following a car accident at around 2:05 a.m. along Business Highway 20.

Authorities said in their statements that the incident happened along Business 20/Highway 80 near the intersection of John Ben Shepperd Parkway.

According to officials, Shekha Wright and Ronnequa Leann Sims were passengers in a Chevy Equinox said to be going eastbound on the highway. For reasons which can't be confirmed right now, the Equinox and a Dodge Ram crashed along the center turn lane.

Investigators said that Wright and Sims had incapacitating injuries as a result of the accident. Other injuries were not confirmed. Details suggested alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, but this cannot be confirmed.
