Destiny Rose Smith, 2 Injured in Car Accident in Bell County, TX

Bell County, TX — October 8, 2023, Dstiny Rose Smith and two others were injured following a car accident at around 10:35 p.m. along Highway 317.

Initial statements about the crash indicated that the accident happened in the area of Highway 317 and F.M. 1237.

According to officials, 23-year-old Destiny Smith was a passenger in a Mitsubishi Eclipse which was going northbound through the above intersection. While crossing, a westbound Ford Expedition failed to yield, causing the two vehicles to collide.

As a result of the collision, Smith had incapacitating injuries. Both the Mitsubishi driver and the Ford driver had apparently non-incapacitating injuries. Authorities allege that the Ford driver initial left the scene and also had been drinking. Official charges are not clear right now.
