Luz Garcia Fermin Injured in Car Accident in Houston, TX

Houston, TX — August 25, 2023, Luz Garcia Fermin was injured following a car accident at around 6:20 p.m. along West Loop 610 South.

According to officials, the crash happened in the area of Woodway Drive on southbound lanes of the freeway service road.

Investigators say that 37-year-old Luz Marina Garcia Fermin was in a Toyota Corolla going along southbound lanes behind a Ford Econoline. A Nissan Titan approaching from behind slammed into the back of Garcia Fermin's Corolla, pushing it into the Econoline. The Nissan then reportedly left the scene.

Garcia Fermin was taken from the scene with injuries described as non-incapacitating. No other injuries were confirmed. At this time, no further information about the accident is available.
