1 Killed in Truck Accident in Kimble County, TX

Kimble County, TX — October 13, 2023, one person was killed in a semi-truck accident just before 5 in the morning along Interstate 10.

According to reports, a 22-year-old man was in a 18-wheeler heading westbound on I-10 near State Loop 481 several miles southeast of Junction, Texas, when the accident occurred.

For unknown reasons, the 18-wheeler veered off the right side of the road and onto the shoulder before overcorrecting to the left, crossing over the median and across both of the the eastbound lanes before colliding with a rock wall barrier. The collision with the barrier caused the 18-wheeler to overturn.

Authorities pronounced the 22-year-old dead at the scene. Weather and road conditions in the area at the time of the accident were reportedly clear and dry. The accident is still under investigation. No additional details are available at this time.
