1 Killed, 1 Injured in Truck Accident in Orange, CT

Orange, CT — October 30, 2023, one person was killed and another was injured in a truck accident at 3:55 a.m. along Highway 34.

According to reports, a man was traveling in a westbound semi-truck on Highway 34 at the Orange Center intersection when the incident occurred.

For reasons which are still unknown, the semi-truck had a collision with another vehicle at that intersection. The contact with the other vehicle caused the semi-truck to veer off of the road and into a tree and a telephone pole.

The occupant of the vehicle with which the semi collided was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the semi was transported by emergency medical services to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during the accident. The accident is still under investigation; no additional details are presently available.
