Henry Torres Sr. Killed in Alleged DWI Accident in Galveston, TX

Galveston, TX — October 26, 2023, Henry Torres Sr. was killed following an alleged intoxicated driving accident at around 9:19 p.m. on Seawall Boulevard.

Authorities said in their statements that the collision happened off the corner of the Avenue R 1/2 intersection.

Details say that Henry Torres Sr. was walking at the time and attempting to cross over Seawall Boulevard. While doing so, authorities say a driver hit Torres, then fled the scene. The driver was later arrested, however.

Torres sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision. There were no other reported injuries. The driver, a 23-year-old woman, is also accused of driving while intoxicated. No further information can be confirmed at this time.
