Michael Blackburn Killed in Pedestrian Truck Accident in Halfmoon, NY

Halfmoon, NY — October 29, 2023, Michael Blackburn was killed in a pedestrian truck accident sometime in the morning along Route 9.

According to reports, 41-year-old Clifton Park man Michael Blackburn was walking along northbound Route 9 just south of Sitterly Road when the accident occurred.

For unknown reasons, a northbound Ford Ecoline box truck which was travelling on Route 9 struck Michael Blackburn, causing serious bodily injury as a result. Emergency Medical Services were called to the scene of the accident. Blackburn was transferred to a local hospital for treatment of the injuries incurred during the accident where he was later pronounced dead.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation. There were no other injuries reported in conjunction with this incident. There are no additional details are available at this time.
