Mason Skidmore Killed, Leah Hosom Injured in Truck Accident in Meigsville Township, OH

Morgan County, OH — October 28, 2023, Mason Skidmore was killed and Leah Hosom was injured in a truck accident at 5:21 p.m. along Ohio 60.

According to reports, 21-year-old Mason Skidmore and 19-year-old Leah Hosom were in a Kia Optima traveling southbound on Ohio 60 near mile marker six when the accident occurred.

For unknown reasons, the Kia swerved out of the southbound lanes and into oncoming northbound traffic where it collided with a semi-truck. Hosom was critically injured as a result of the crash and was transported to a local hospital by emergency medical services for treatment. Skidmore was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The incident is still under investigation. Reports indicate that neither drug nor alcohol use are suspected in conjunction with the cause of the accident. There are no additional details available at this time.
