One Injured in Truck Accident on U.S. 87 in Wilson County, TX

Wilson County, TX — October 13, 2023, one person was injured following a commercial truck accident at around 4:49 a.m. along U.S. Highway 87.

Authorities said in initial public statements that the crash took place in the area of the U.S. Highway 87 and County Road 473 intersection.

According to officials, a 29-year-old man was in a Buick Enclave traveling along westbound U.S. 87. That vehicle and an eastbound 18-wheeler were involved in a near head-on collision, with the vehicles hitting each other's driver sides.

The driver of the Buick was taken from the scene with reportedly incapacitating injuries. The truck driver's condition wasn't clear. Right now, further information about the crash remains unclear.
