3 Injured in Multi-vehicle Car Accident in Smith County, TX

Smith County, TX — October 16, 2023, three people were injured in a rollover car accident involving several vehicles before 8:40 a.m. along Highway 155 South.

According to reports, the accident occurred along Highway 155 S near Toll 49 and involved several vehicles, at least one of which was towing a trailer.

The cause of the accident is currently unknown, but photographs published in the news of the crash site show a trailer clearly turned on its left side and a dark colored car with significant damage to the front driver's side.

The three victims injured as a result of the accident were transported to local medical facilities for treatment. Their identities have not yet been made public. The weather and driving conditions in the area at the time of the accident were not specifically reported on; however, the picture of the scene showed what appeared to be dry roads and clear skies. The accident is still under investigation; no other details are available at this point in time.
