Quinnon Gardner and Rolando Reyes Killed in Multi-vehicle Car Accident near Lufkin, TX

UPDATE (October 31, 2023): The identities of the victims in this accident have been confirmed. 36-year-old Rolando Reyes was the driver of the 2009 Chevy pickup; 44-year-old Quinnon Gardner was the driver of the Ford Flex. Both Gardner and Reyes were pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident.

Angelina County, TX — October 26, 2023, two people were killed in a multi-vehicle car accident at 4:55 p.m. along State Highway 103.

According to reports, a the incident took place near the Angelina River Bridge east of Lufkin, Texas.

A Ford Flex was reportedly traveling east on S.H. 103 when, for unknown reasons, it veered into oncoming westbound traffic. It collided head-on with a 2009 Chevy pickup truck which was towing a trailer. The trailer became detached, resulting in the trailer being involved in a secondary collision with a 2012 Chevrolet.

Drivers of both the Ford Flex and the Chevy pickup truck were pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported in connection with this accident. The incident is still under investigation. No additional details are available at this time.
