Roberta Tipton Killed, 2 Injured in Truck Accident in Grand Island, NE

Grand Island, NE — October 26, 2023, Roberta Tipton was killed and two others were injured in a truck accident sometime before 8 a.m. along Highway 30.

According to reports, Roberta Tipton was a passenger in a Dodge Ram being driven by a 17-year-old at the intersection of Capital Avenue and Highway 30, which is where the accident occurred.

Authorities state that the Dodge was attempting to make a turn from Capital Avenue onto Highway 30, which is when the collision with a semi-truck took place. The three people involved in the crash each incurred injuries as a result of the accident and were transferred to a local hospital for treatment. Tipton, it is reported, passed away at the hospital.

The accident is still under investigation. Weather and driving conditions in the area at the time of the accident have not been reported on. There are no additional details available at this point in time.
