John Ernest Mangelinkx Injured in Alleged Intoxicated Driver Accident in Venus, TX

Johnson County, TX — October 9, 2023, John Ernest Mangelinkx was injured as the result of a motorcycle accident at around 7:01 p.m. along U.S. Highway 67.

Authorities said in preliminary statements on the crash that it happened along the highway near Lonestar Avenue.

According to officials, 50-year-old John Ernest Mangelinkx was riding a Yamaha motorcycle going eastbound along the highway. A Dodge Challenger also going eastbound reportedly failed to control speed and crashed into the back of Mangelinkx, ejecting him from the bike.

Manelinkx had injuries described as incapacitating resulting from the collision. There were no other confirmed injuries. Authorities allege that the Dodge driver was under the influence of alcohol and recommended a charge for intoxication assault. Right now, no further information about the accident is available.
