Janet Colon Injured in 18-wheeler Accident on I-84 in Montgomery, NY

UPDATE (October 30, 2023): Reports have identified the woman injured in the accident as 30-year-old Janet Colon. No further information is available.

Montgomery, NY — October 24, 2023, a woman sustained injuries as the result of a dual 18-wheeler accident late Tuesday along Interstate 84.

Authorities said in their statements that the crash happened along eastbound lanes of the interstate, and it involved at least two tractor-trailers.

According to current available information, a 30-year-old woman from Monroe was in a Chevy Malibu that was behind an 18-wheeler. For reasons unclear right now, a second 18-wheeler crashed into the back of the Malibu, pinning it between the two trucks.

As a result of the collision, the woman was taken to a hospital in what was called critical condition. There were no other confirmed injuries. Right now, no further information is available.
