Michael Couto Killed in ATV Rollover Accident near Amarillo, TX

Amarillo, TX — October 22, 2023, Michael Couto was killed in a rollover ATV crash at Cherry Avenue and Sanford Street near Amarillo, TX.

Authorities indicate that on October 22, a fatal accident occurred when an ATV crashed approximately three miles from Amarillo. According to reports, the crash happened at about 6:40 in the evening.

Investigators say the ATV was traveling Eastbound along Cherry Avenue when it suddenly lost control and overturned near Sanford Street. Police say the ATV flipped over with the driver inside the vehicle. The cause of the crash has not been released at this time.

Officials confirmed the ATV driver, 18-year-old Michael Couto, suffered fatal injuries. No other injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
