Wichita Falls, TX — October 22, 2023, a person was injured in a single-vehicle collision on Maplewood Avenue near Sikes Lake in Wichita Falls, TX.

Authorities indicate that on October 22, an accident occurred when a vehicle crashed in Wichita Falls for unknown reasons. According to reports, the crash happened at approximately 11:25 at night. Investigators say the vehicle was traveling north along Maplewood Avenue when it suddenly sped out of control and left the roadway. Sources say the car overturned into a water-filled ditch near Sikes Lake. The cause of the wreck has not been released at this time.

Officials say the person was rescued by first responders and taken to an area hospital for medical attention. No additional details were given. No other injuries were reported.
