2 Injured in Semi-truck Accident on I-10 in El Paso, TX

El Paso, TX — October 19, 2023, two people were injured in a semi-truck accident at about 7:00 in the morning along the I-10.

Authorities state that the accident took place on the I-10 at Transmountain near The Outlets between two semi-trucks and various other vehicles.

It is unclear, at this point, how many other vehicles were involved in the accident. As a result of the accident, both the northbound and southbound lanes of I-10 were shut down. The cause of the accident is unknown, but an investigation is underway. A hazmat unit was called to the scene in order to clean up the resulting diesel spill.

According to reports, two people—whose identities have not been released to the public—were transferred to a hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during the accident. One of the two reportedly incurred life-threatening injuries. There are no further details about the accident at this time.
