Cydney Morriss Killed in Truck Accident in Carson County, TX

Carson County, TX — October 14, 2023, Cydney Morris was involved in a fatal collision with a semi-truck at about 1:05 p.m. along highway 152.

Reports indicate that 51-year-old Cydney Morriss was traveling along the eastbound lane of highway 152 in her Kia Soul.

For reasons which have not been determined, the Kia diverted from the eastbound lane and into the path of oncoming westbound traffic. A semi-truck traveling in the westbound lane reportedly swerved in an attempt to avoid an accident, and while a head-on collision was averted, Morriss's Kia did hit the rear left wheels of the semi-truck.

Authorities state that Morriss was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident is still under investigation and there are no further details available at this point in time.
