Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident in Harris County, TX

Harris County, TX — October 17, 2023, a man was killed in a hit-and-run crash in the 1000 block of West Mount Houston Road near the I-45 North Freeway in Harris County, Houston, TX.

Authorities indicate that on October 17, a fatal crash occurred when a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Harris County for unknown reasons. According to reports, police were notified just before 7:00 in the morning. Investigators believe a deceased man's body had been lying in the 1000 block of West Mount Houston Road for several hours before the call came in.

Police stated the deceased pedestrian was not in a crosswalk and was believed to have been hit by a vehicle that left the scene. The victim has not been identified at this time. No additional information has been released.

The investigation is ongoing.
