Richard Bailiff Killed, Michael Edwards, Marcella Edwards Injured in Car Accident in Smith County, TX

Smith County, TX — September 27, 2023, Richard Bailiff was killed and Michael Edwards and Marcella Edwards were injured after a car accident along F.M. 14.

Authorities said in their statements that the crash took place at around 8:05 p.m. just off F.M. 14 and County Road 3180.

Initial details say that 35-year-old Richard Bailiff was in a Ford F-150 going southbound on F.M. 14. Michael Edwards and Marcella Edwards were in a BMW going northbound. For reasons not confirmed right now, the F-150 lost control, and it resulted in a crash between the pickup and the BMW.

As a result of the collision, Bailiff sustained fatal injuries. Michael Edwards and Marcella Edwards both had reportedly incapacitating injuries. Right now, no information can be confirmed pending investigations.
