UPDATE (October 19, 2023): Additional details released by authorities identified the man killed in the crash as 57-year-old Raymond E. McCabe. The circumstances leading up to the crash are still under investigation.

Menands, NY — October 9, 2023, a person was killed in a bicycle-truck collision on Route 378 in Albany County, in The Village of Menands, NY.

Authorities indicate that on October 9, a fatal accident occurred when a bicyclist and a dump truck collided in Albany County for unknown reasons. According to reports, the crash happened at approximately 2:30 p.m. along Route 378. The cause of the crash is still being determined.

Officials confirmed that a man, whose name has not been released, was killed in the collision. No additional details have been given at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
