Macayla Bartek, Lance Walker Killed in Car Accident in Bell County, TX

Bell County, TX — September 25, 2023, Macayla Bartek and Lance Walker were killed as the result of a car accident at around 3:45 a.m. along F.M. 439.

Preliminary information from authorities says that the crash took place in the area of the F.M. 439 and High Crest Drive intersection.

According to investigations, 30-year-old Macayla Bartek was in a Chevy Silverado traveling westbound and 46-year-old Lance Walker was in a Kia Optima going eastbound. Beyond this, details are unclear. Authorities say they believe one of the vehicles went left of center, and the two vehicles collided head-on along the center line.

Due to this collision, both Bartek and Walker sustained fatal injuries. There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the wreck. Investigations are ongoing.
