Granite Falls, NC — October 9, 2023, Charles Rodney Allison Jr. was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Grace Chapel Road near Quail Creek Drive in Granite Falls, NC.

Authorities indicate that on October 9, a fatal accident occurred when a vehicle crashed in Granite Falls for unknown reasons. According to reports, the crash happened at approximately 1:40 in the morning.

Investigators say a Ford Explorer was heading north along Grace Chapel Road when it suddenly crossed the center lane line and veered off the left side of the road. Sources say the Explorer crashed into a tree. Police have not released the cause of the accident at this time.

Officials confirmed that the Ford driver, Charles Rodney Allison Jr., 63, suffered fatal injuries. No other injuries were reported, and no other vehicles were said to be involved.
